The Program
Thursday 17/08 (Optional)
For those arriving early, you meet with the participants of the Baltic Capital Tour. In the evening we make a sunset cruise on the river. We dance on the boat. We have a group booking in a hotel situated in the old town of Riga.
Friday 18/08
In the morning, a guided visit of the Unesco Heritage Art Deco quarter and the old town of Riga on foot. In the late afternoon, we go by bus to our weekend location, Gungas.

Saturday 19/08
We enjoy the lake, the woods, and the sauna. In the afternoon we are visited by professional musicians/dancers. We experience, and try local Latvian folklore songs and dances inspired by nature.

After breakfast, we leave the resort in the morning.

Group transport to the venue from Riga Centrum on Friday, in the late afternoon.

Use of rowing boats/SUP's for excursions on the lake.

The Venue
Gungas is an Ethnographical holiday resort. We stay and dance in historical Latvian log houses, from the past century or even earlier. It is a place where time stands still. Gungas is located in a typical pine forest on the shore of Dūņezers Lake. It offers great relaxation and tranquility. The sea is 10 km away, and Riga is only 45 km away.
There are approximately 40 sleeping places available on site, so the group will be small.

We are welcome at the venue as of 16.00 on Friday 18/08. We leave the resort on Monday morning 21/08.

Group transport from Riga to the venue on Friday afternoon (16.00) will be organized by us. It is included in the event price. If you can not make it in time for the bus, we will also help organize individual transport if this would be needed.

We will help coordinate the return trip to Riga/the airport on Monday. The price of the transfer is not included in the event price.

The meals will be prepared by an external caterer, in close cooperation with us. We will also serve traditional dishes.

We will have the services of a local 'sauna' expert for authentic birch leave massages at a small additional cost.

Meals and drinks are included.

Bring swimwear, sunglasses, sunblock, and mosquito repellent (for your room and for your body). We are in the woods and the little friends come out in big numbers at night.

We stay in authentic wooden houses. The rooms have a lot of charm. All the rooms are different in size, layout, and comfort level.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

There are no single rooms available, Only double, twin and triple rooms are offered.

If you need a partner to share a twin/triple room, we will try and partner you.

We have room for a limited number of camper vans and/or tent pitches (no electricity or water connection provided).
We welcome all dancers that enjoy double-role dancing.
No need to register with a partner.
We all dance with each other.
Is your friend/partner (still) a single-role dancer? You are both welcome.
Your participation will be confirmed by us after the reception of your participation fee.
